Honey

The usual topic of discussion for lunch usually can comprise from students’ behaviour (our favourite) to politics. But for lunch today we actually got into a very interesting topic…honey. How did the topic come into existence u might ask. The answer to that is actually quite simple. I was asking my Boss what kind of drinks he usually has for breakfast. And his answer was a table spoon of honey with warm water. Interesting eh! According to him it helps with digestion and should be taken two hours before meals. Honey is actually the world’s most ancient sweetener and it is being used by everyone under the sun. Not only for its sweetness, honey is also used for medicinal and as a natural beauty agent. I have actually seen documentaries where doctors use honey on wounds to make it heal faster. The colours can vary from light gold to dark brown. It is composed of carbohydrates and water. It also has small amounts of vitamin and minerals. Darker honey has been shown to have more antioxidant contents compared to lighter honey. So I learnt something today for lunch. Maybe tomorrow we can talk about students’ behaviour… hahahaha.
